Summer Reading activities and programs are designed to be fun, encourage reading, help maintain skills and spark new interest! We have a full summer of programs for all ages! We are working together this summer for one common goal, if we have 325 Summer Reading Logs completed we will donate a tree to our community! Help us complete our goal!

Join local authors Roz Weedman and Susan Todd for an author discussion and book signing of their novel Poppy and Mary Ellen Deliver the Goods. This book is the first in the Frankenmuth Murder Series.
Friday, June 23rd - Puzzle Art @ 10 am
Use your imagination, puzzle pieces and basic art skills to create a masterpiece. The options are limitless. All supplies will be provided. Registration is required.
Tuesday, June 27 Michigan Notable Author Visit @ 6 pm
Join us as we welcome the author of Chevy in the Hole Kelsey Ronan. Kelsey will be available to discuss her book and sign copies. This program is sponsored by the Library of Michigan, Library of Michigan Foundation, Michigan Center for the Book, and Michigan Humanities as well as other generous supporters.
Friday, June 30th - DIY Terrarium
In this workshop, we will use rocks, soil, moss, and figurines to create a whimsical terrarium that is sure to bring joy and calm to your life. All supplies will be provided. Registration is required. Program is for ages 18 and up

Join podcaster and radio show host Cliff DuVernois as he shares key lessons learned from the top five interviews from his show. The Michiganders highlighted overcame impossible odds, including socioeconomic boundaries, physical and mental disabilities, and racial lines to achieve their vision of success. What lessons can we learn from their stories? How can we benefit from their mistakes? Wednesday, July 19 @ 5-7 pm - Knit & Crochet for Kindness
Join us for an evening of knitting and crocheting as we work on making newborn caps, cast-toe warmers, and heart monitor holders for local hospitals. Official patterns will be available. Please bring your own yarn, needles, and hooks. Light refreshments and an evening of good company will be provided. Drop in anytime between 5 and 7 pm. You can drop off completed projects at the library through August 11, and we will make sure they are donated.
Friday, July 28 @ 10 am - Macrame Heart Keychain
This program teaches you how to make a pretty heart macrame keychain. This easy, cute project works up quickly and is perfect for beginners. All supplies will be provided. Registration is required. The program is for ages 18 and up.
