Planning Process

Our library is a community gathering place, an educational partner, and an opportunity center for all. We are passionate about moving our community forward and recognizing the changing needs of our community.  We are committed to presenting the library as a
community hub, a place to discover, learn, dream, grow and connect.
 

Every 3- 5 years, the library undertakes a thorough strategic planning process designed to reexamine its vision, mission and strategic priorities. It is critical that we regularly examine ourselves and adapt to our community's current needs.

 

Over the next 3 years we will strive to Welcome, Connect, Communicate, and Educate. In Year One (2023) some of our focus will be providing and planning for needed repairs on our building through continued review of our Capital Improvement plan, focusing on expanding our programming opportunities, enhancing our homebound delivery services, and continued community partnerships.

The process of our strategic plan started back in 2019 but was put on hold in 2020 as the library pivoted to provide services and resources during the pandemic. In fall of 2021 we released a community-wide survey to gather community feedback as we began to revisit
the strategic plan. A committee consisting of library staff reviewed the feedback and began the process of developing a comprehensive strategic plan. The Library Board of Trustees after thorough review of the strategic plan approved the plan on November 14, 2022.

Our belief is that the library, through pursuit of our mission and values, will play a vital role in growth and strengthening of our community. We hope that you connect, dream and discover with us as we move forward.
