It's been a busy week at the library. We were thrilled to finally put books into your hands and provide access to computers and other library services. The disappointment of not holding in person programming for Summer Reading was quickly replaced with excitement of connecting with our patrons in unique ways. We Zoomed, made stuff, went on a goose chase, spread kindness and gave away free books. We celebrated 1000 books before kindergarten achievements, distributed summer reading challenges and received our first book order since March.
Next week we extend our hours to meet the needs of a wider audience of readers. Call us between 9 am and 7 pm Monday through Thursday, 9 am through 5 pm on Friday and 10 am- through 2 pm on Saturday. Take advantage of our lobby or curbside pick up, appointments for computer use, faxes, copies and other library services. Although the doors are not open to the general public yet, we are busy preparing the building for the day we can welcome you back into the building.
Finally, If you still have books at home from March or before, it's time to return them! All books overdue during quarantine are now due by June 30th, fines waved. You have to agree that it's time to pick up a new book!
