New Year, Big Changes for the Valley Library Consortium

Wickson Library (and the rest of the Valley Library Consortium- VLC) is migrating to a new cataloguing system! This is an extensive and in-depth process that has taken months of prep work behind-the-scenes. Our very own Kelly Philp has had the enormous undertaking of ensuring that our entire catalogue will be successfully migrated over to the new system when it goes live on February 26th.

Please bear with our staff in the month of February as we navigate these changes and learn how to successfully navigate a new online cataloguing system!

Now-Feb. 18: Make sure you know your library card number! When our system goes down on Feb. 19th, we will NOT have a way to access your account without your physical library card or number. Please stop in or call us BEFORE Feb.18th if you need your library card number!

Feb. 7th: This is the LAST DAY to order inter-loan books until after Polaris goes live on February 26th!

Feb. 19-25th: CHECKOUT ONLY! You MUST know your library card number in order to checkout a book during this week-long period. Please note that we will NOT have the capability to check IN books.  

Feb. 26th: Library CLOSED. The new system, Polaris, is scheduled to launch this day! Our staff will take the day to get the library back in order and prepare to reopen on Feb. 27th!
