Everyone belongs at the library, especially the next generation of readers- our local tweens & teens!
In addition to our robust collection of books, graphic novels, Yotos, and magazines (all curated to inspire a love of reading in your kiddos) Wickson Library also provides a plethora of after-school and summer activities and special events.
Our approach to hosting events for tweens & teens is two-fold:
1. Get kids through the doors of the library! Once they're here, they might just find a book they love.
2. Encourage local youth to engage with one another in a fun, safe, and age-appropriate setting.
School-age children are invited to join Ms. Barb in the Community Room after school on Tuesdays for a FREE safe space to decompress after a long day at school!
Each week, Ms. Barb will have themed activities, games, and crafts available to kids to participate in at their own pace.
Local tweens & teens are invited to stop in after-school on Thursdays for a FREE, safe space to decompress!
Each week, Ms. Barb will have themed activities, games, and crafts available for teens to complete at their own pace.
Ms. Barb, along with the help of our Teen Advisory Board, organizes several special events throughout the year.
Examples of popular past events include: NERF Wars Star Wars-Themed Parties Hogwarts Halloween Wickson World Cup
